Robert Allen's Story
"Buying Home Without Cash: Boastful Investor Accepts Times Challenge-and Wins" Declares Los Angeles Times Headline
His simple real estate strategies and "Nothing Down" program helps everyday people make millions--using very little money of their own! Why does this man have one of the most astonishing track records helping "average" people create wealth?
It's no secret. Robert G. Allen loves a challenge. In fact, he's been throwing down-and backing up-BOLD (some would say audacious) challenges for the last 25 years.
Here's the reason why: Robert Allen is on a mission to prove that ordinary people have the ability to create extraordinary wealth.
It all started in January of 1981.
The L.A. Times Challenges Allen
When the Los Angeles Times challenged Allen to back up his bold claim:
"Send me to any city in the United States. Take away my wallet. Give me $100 for living expenses. And in 72 hours I'll buy an excellent piece of real estate using none of my own money."
On Monday, January 12, 1981 at 6:00 AM, Times staff reporter, Martin Baron, met Allen at the Marriot Hotel near the Los Angeles Airport... they were to fly out to one of the toughest real estate markets in America.
Self-proclaimed skeptics, the Times staff wanted to give Allen a baptism by fire. "Do you know where we're going?" asked Baron as they drove to the terminal. "Nope," replied Allen. "San Francisco," shot back Baron.
What Allen Did In San Francisco
On the ground at 8:20 AM, the "swap" was officially made: Allen handed Baron his wallet; and Baron handed Allen five $20 bills. The clock was ticking. After purchasing a Monday paper and picking up a free map at the airport information desk, they headed to the city.
The result was nothing short of amazing! With Baron by his side, Allen purchased 7 properties worth $722,715.00 in ONLY 57 hours using none of his own money! A full 15 hours before the deadline. He even had $20 left over that he gave to a local realtor (that drove him to properties) for gas money. The Times ran news of Allen's triumph in their paper. But Allen wasn't finished.

"Send Me To The 'Show Me' State"
Determined to prove that "anyone" could use his breakthrough real estate strategies--to quickly generate cash and equity--Allen undertook another challenge. This time he set his sights on Missouri... the "Show Me" state.
There he issued this bold challenge to the Mayor of St. Louis:
"Send me to any unemployment line. Let me select someone who is broke, out of work, discouraged. Let me teach him in two day's time the secrets of wealth, and in 90 days he'll be back on his feet, with $5,000 cash in the bank, never to set foot in an unemployment line again."
Selected From The Unemployment Lines of St. Louis
True to his word, Allen selected Steve and Mary Bonenberger, a young couple from the unemployment lines of St. Louis. After teaching them his real estate secrets, in only two days time, he sent them on their way. Amazingly, on the 89th day... Steve and Mary deposited $5,000 in their bank account and went on to make $100,000 in the next 12 months!
"Somebody... Shut Him Up!"
But people were still skeptical. So Allen decided to take his next challenge to the world via the internet. Determined to prove, once and for all, that his wealth secrets worked-Allen issued this shocking challenge on live television:
"Sit me at the keyboard of any computer in the world with access to the Internet, and in 24 hours, I'll earn $24,000."
Even the producers of the show were skeptical. They begged Allen to lower the figure... "A thousand dollars in 24 hours is still a lot of money to the average person," they reasoned. Fiddlesticks! Allen knew in his gut he could generate $24,000 in 24 hours!
With Cameras Rolling...
On May 24, 2000, at a studio in Burbank, California, at exactly 12:38pm, in front of live cameras...Allen mounted a chair at the keyboard of a computer. The result? After 6 hours and 11 minutes the total was... $46,684.95! Allen was just warming up. Because 24 hours after the challenge had begun, when they did a final tally... the total was a staggering $94,532.44! Another Allen slam dunk. But, that wasn't Allen's greatest television challenge. He would soon be challenged again-this time on national television before a live studio audience.
Regis Philbin Challenges Allen On National Television
While a guest on the Regis Philbin show in New York City, Allen was again put to the test. This time the challenge was made on national television before a live studio audience:
Allen was challenged to take someone from Regis Philbin's studio audience and teach them his wealth building strategies. He was to come back in 90 days with the results.
A young lady by the name of Pat was chosen from the audience. She was flown to San Diego and attended Allen's intensive investment program "Wealth Training."
All Smiles At The Interview 90 Days Later
In less than ninety days after returning to the Big Apple, Pat was $20,000 wealthier. Even more gratifying to Allen than her financial success, was Pat's smile and sense of pride as she recounted to Regis the details of her amazing feat! She knew her dreams would now come true.
